Commvault is a data recovery company that helps other companies restore their data. They use the Industry Wide Differentiation as their competitive strategy to maximize their products’ capacity and help to gain their profits. Commvault used Structured Process to help clients recover their data and offer data protection services to other customers, and Dynamic Process to back up the software to prevent losses.

In the information System aspect, Commvault uses Power BI to track its sales by region or salesperson, and analyze data to help clients solve their problems. Using Power BI makes it easier to view all the data at once, saves time and allows people to select editing rights, helps managers to make more efficient decisions for the company.

Commvault uses Social Media widely such as Youtube, Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter to strengthen and increase their relationships, also update their news, products and keep in touch with customers.

 
WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED?
While analyzing the Commvault company business process and information system, our team has learned a lot of useful information about business in general as well as the information system being used in the business world. Some of the things that we have learned are:
 

• The information system is important for a business to manage and operate efficiently and successfully. The smoother information system being used, the more successful of the business.

• Social Media is an important role in getting strong and lasting relationships with customers and others, also in order to keep updating news and products within the company.

• Technology is always going to be changing in a way that everyone runs a business. If companies don’t change with the technology their company will be behind the competitors.

• Having great communication is the key to run a good business and have no silos throughout the company.
